Doors Open originated in 2007 when our bassist Robbie placed an ad on the internet looking for a band. Patrick our guitarist responded on this ad but they did not meet up yet. A couple of days later they met each other by coincidence on a city bus it had to be because the foundation of Doors Open was made at this moment. This was followed by a period of jamming together and changing thoughts. 8 Months after they met, another person joined the band, Ruud our drummer! The instrumental basis of Doors Open was a fact at this point. The only thing missing was a singer!

A couple of singers came to audition but we couldnt find what we were looking for. After a year of jamming in Valkenburg we moved to a rehearse studio in Susteren. In the summer of 2008 another singer responded to one of our ads. This time it was: Roy, former singer of : Knien in ut zoer who thought it would be time for him to start rocking again. We invited him for audition and there was an immediate click between the former band members and the new singer Roy. At this point Doors Open was really born and this rocking-sensation became fact!

Doors Open has been influenced by bands as Metallica, Johnny Cash, Queens of the Stone Age and even Pearl Jam.
